Dr. Bell has been creating esthetic excellence in his patients' smiles since 1980. Our goal is to provide one-on-one care to create a great looking smile that lasts a lifetime. Dr. Bell is dedicated to open, honest communication, discussing your treatment options with you and answering any questions you may have. Dr. Bell treats one patient at a time, not jumping from chair to chair. You receive his full attention during your visit.
He has a passion for esthetic and complex restorative dentistry and takes pride in the quality of the dental work he provides to his patients. He is respected and admired throughout the dental community for the remarkable results he obtains.

Dr. D. Ian Bell

Dr. Bell moved to Bellevue from Vancouver, British Columbia with his family when he was six years old. He did his undergraduate study at the University of Washington and received his D.D.S. degree in 1978, graduating at the top of his class in esthetic and restorative dentistry. He was a clinical instructor in restorative dentistry, teaching the sophomore dental students. He opened his practice in Bellevue in 1980, and has since established himself as a premiere master clinician in the field of advanced, esthetic and complex restorative dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the Seattle--King County Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American College of Oral Implantology, the American Society of Osseointegration, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Bell has specialized and advanced training and education in esthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. He received his Certificate in Fixed Implant Prosthetics and Certificate in Removable Implant Prosthetics from the Misch Implant Institute and his Certificate in Implant Prosthododontics from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Bell also received his Certificate of Comprehensive Training in Implant Dentistry from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has a Certificate of Comprehensive Training in Advanced Esthetic & Restorative Dentistry from Dr. R. Faucher, University of Washington.

Darlene has been with Dr. Bell since 1987. She knows the office inside and out, having served in nearly every capacity, including receptionist and dental assistant. Her genuine care for our patients and attention to detail have made her a favorite with our patients. She married a "Kiwi" in 1992 and has one son. Besides absolutely adoring her son and spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys playing softball, fishing, watching sports, cooking and traveling. She supports her husband's women's fastpitch team by actively participating in fundraisers and has lent a helping hand with Northwest Children's Fund auctions.

Janay came to our office in August 1996 after having worked in the front office of an orthodontic and endodontic practice. Working chair-side with Dr. Bell has been a valuable learning experience as well as challenging and fun! Her gentle technique and sparkling personality enable her to help our patients feel at home from the very first visit. Janay graduated from Monroe High School and married Justin, her high school sweetheart in 1996. She actively supports local merchants, namely Nordstrom, and loves to camp, snow ski, water sports and spending time with family and friends.

Lori graduated from Fort Steilacoom Community College in 1981 with an Associates in Arts and Sciences Degree in Dental Hygiene. She joined Dr. Bell's staff in 1986, having had three years experience in a periodontal office. Lori is extremely conscientious about her work and the care her patients receive. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. When not at work, Lori is busy with her husband, two boys ages 8 and 6 and her cat, Midas. Volunteering at the boys' school is one of her favorite activities. She is an avid reader, often sharing her favorite book club titles with the staff.

Janie graduated from Shoreline Community College in 1979 with an Associates in Arts and Sciences Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has worked in the office since 1980 and has a special interest in patients receiving superior care and service…she married Dr. Bell in 1981. An 11 year old daughter and an 8 year old son keep her more than hopping. Volunteering at school, shuttling the kids to after school sports activities and coaching her daughter's fastpitch team are just a few of the family oriented activities she enjoys. Janie has served 6 years on the board of Northwest Children's Fund, a fund raising organization for children's social services. She also serves on the board of Redmond West Little League with particular interest in the advocacy of fastpitch softball.
